Product Description

How to use G Glue: 1 Copper plate your granules or wire. I have a video clip of copper plating on our Youtube channel https://youtu.be/EKv8fs3Qjsw 2 Set up your granules as desired with water using a fine brush. 3 Give the G Glue bottle a good shake, the contents tend to settle. 4 Use your small brush and add very small amounts of G Glue to your wet granules. G Glue works on fine silver and high karat gold and on either flat or curved surfaces. You should see just a bit of pink mixed in with your granules. If you see intense pink, just wick a little off and you are fine. 5 Dry completely and you are ready to place your piece in the kiln and start granulating. G Glue is formulated with everything you need to hold gold or fine silver granules in place on flat or curved surfaces with an important additional benefit of a bright indicator color to tell you if you are using too much glue. Granulation is one of the most exacting and challenging skills you can master as a metalsmith. G Glue makes it easier and more reliable. I’ve been granulating and teaching other to granulate for the last 29 years and one of the most common problems students have in their setup is their glue. Students want to make sure their granules don’t roll off on the way to the kiln so they go overboard with their glue mixture. Unfortunately, not being able to judge how much glue was enough was a very common problem. G Glue solves that for you. If you see a lot of pink, you just mop a bit of it off without affecting your design and you are back on track. -Happy Granulating!
